Reiki is an energy healing technique for stress reduction and relaxation developed by Dr Mikao Usui that channels “life force energy” (Rei – spirit and Ki – energy) through the practitioner to the receiver. This can be done in person or through a distance healing session.

During a reiki session you may feel a variety of things from physical effects (such as warmth or headache) or emotional effects (crying or happiness) or you may feel nothing at all and you might just fall asleep. What happens depends on you. Whatever you experience is what is right for you.  Allow yourself to feel it as it’s part of your healing journey and it usually does not last long.

Reiki works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. It should never be used to replace medicines, medical treatments or therapies recommended by your doctors.
